Job Description

Dewberry is currently looking for a Survey Crew Chief to perform a variety of tasks associated with land surveying and civil engineering in our Daphne, AL office.

Responsibilities

  • Perform right of way survey aspects of transportation engineering projects
  • Perform design survey aspects of transportation engineering projects
  • Field work associated with land surveying
  • Perform Boundary, Topographic, Tree & Channel Surveys
  • Assisting with survey computations and data collection as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of survey experience as a survey crew chief
  • Able to operate Topcon Total Stations, Lieca GPS, static, RTK, RTN Ability to operate Trimble Access with Trimble Total Stations and GPS
  • Ability to run a closed bench run, single wire and 3 wire
  • Ability to shoot Topography
  • Ability to work remotely under rigorous conditions
  • Familiarity with construction plans and RW maps
  • Certified Survey Technician, Level I or II a plus
  • Utility designating experience a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be reliable

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work out of town, flexible with work area
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license in order to operate company vehicle
  • Must be able to pass drug/alcohol screening
