Position Description

McKissack & McKissack, specializing in architecture & interiors, program & construction management, planning & facilities management, environmental engineering and transportation, is looking for a Project Manager, located in Los Angeles, California, who is self-motivated, interested in personal growth, and meets the following qualifications:

Graduation from a recognized college or university, a degree in architecture, engineering or construction management is strongly preferred.

10 years experience in planning, design and construction of facilities for public agencies, educational and institutional.

Establish and manage teams to oversee the design, management, construction, commissioning and certification of high school, middle school and elementary school complexes in the range of $120 - $200 Million in an “Owner’s Representative” capacity.

Experience with managing project delivery teams of up to 100 persons

Oversee design, construction, commissioning and certification process for multiple renovation and new construction projects. Manage and oversee planning and master planning architects.

Experience with CEQA, Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), California Department of Education, Office of Public School Construction, Division of State Architects including State funding and procurement requirements.

Excellent computer skills – experience in spreadsheet, project schedules and change order estimates and negotiations.
