Report - to the Production Supervisor

Schedule: 2nd Shift, 330 PM - 11.00 PM.

Mission

Owner of the operator's Line performance in terms of Safety, Quality, and Takt time

Main responsibilities

Safety:

  • Lead by example for Safety behavior by following all safety rules & regulations.
  • On-time reporting of risk observation / near miss/incidents
  • Support supervisor in conducting safety talks.
  • Encourage Operators to contribute to the safety kaizen board.

Quality - line owner for the "First Time Right"

  • Training of new operators with the help of work instructions
  • Support supervisor to assess and maintain skill matrix for operators.

Perform assembly activities.

  • Support operators when needed / help is asked for.
  • Verify the machine at the end of the line for quality to ensure the First time is right.
  • Ensure daily 'Quality Talk' on operator assembly errors and quality awareness.
  • Support 5's initiatives to keep the workplace neat, clean, and Safe.
  • Ensure Operator discipline (break time, rules & regulations, rework etc)

Delivery - Line owner for the on-time delivery

  • Define manpower allocation per station at the start of the shift.
  • Respect shop order Takt time allocated (efficiency, on-time delivery)
  • Coordinate rework & repair for line machines with reactivity
  • Ensure the right quantity & quality of parts used by the operator
  • Coordinate with line feeder to ensure the on-time material availability
  • Ensure line consumables availability like Gloves, Loctite, Grease, sockets, tools

Cost

  • Avoid scrap from the operator, contain re-work from the operator
  • Respect and improve the Standard time of assembly via Kaizen cards
  • Participate in Line balancing projects and their implementation
  • Participate in the New Product introduction
  • General Responsibilities
  • Respect and contribute actively to the SHE procedures (Safety, Health, Environment)
  • Promote ideas for continuous improvement & innovation
  • Interact on time, with transparency & commitment with colleagues & managers
  • Maintain respectful and polite relationships with all contacts.
  • Promotes Group Core values: Interaction, Commitment, and Innovation in order to reach the vision of "First in Mind - First in Choice".

What do we expect of you?

Experience / Educational requirements

  • Associate degree in a technical field / or equivalent experience
  • 2-3-year experience in PC Rock Hill assembly, bringing depth knowledge of assembly & testing processes of Air compressors, Generators, and Pumps.
  • Expertise in operating tools/Pneumatic/DC & alignment/assembly equipment
  • Should have operating knowledge of systems and basic Computer operation.
  • Fluent in English
