Job Description

As the Ion Exchange Resin Sales Representative for Purolite an Ecolab Company, you will be responsible for the sale of the company's products within the west region to both new and existing customers. You will provide expertise and customer service to accounts as well as build relationships with customers to influence the acceptance and use of our impressive portfolio of resins. You will be crucial to identifying and profiling key accounts and as well as demonstrating the ability to build rapport and develop customer relationships. As the successful candidate, you will execute business development goals and implement regional sales plans in the western territory.

What You will Do

  • Achieve the Sales Budget for the various areas under his/her responsibility.

  • Promote the Purolite product range and the company's image. Become fully knowledgeable of the technical details involved with selling ion exchange resins and absorbents.

  • Focus the sales and marketing efforts and to regularly update our list of references for the sales areas.

  • Train, motivate and control the distributor network within the sales areas. To give the Sales team, the agents, and clients all the technical assistance required for the negotiation of projects and the settlement of any claim.

  • Identify any opportunity of interest in terms of new markets, new applications, and product requirements and to define the strategy allowing us to reinforce our position (market share, price level, margin, customer follow-up and confidence).

  • Negotiate the technical and commercial terms of each business dealt with in the sales area in the framework of our Company resources and within the terms of reference.

  • Handle the promotion for sales areas including mail shots, technical seminars, publicity campaigns.

  • Continually develop relationships & accounts; updating CRM system as required.

  • Work remotely from a western geographic location within one hour from a major airport

  • Travel 50%

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a science related field such as chemistry or chemical engineering.

  • 7 years of sales experience in industrial use, chemistry-based products

  • Pharma experience selling ion exchange products.

  • Proven sales and negotiation skills; customer-focused and driven to achieve sales.

  • Demonstrated ability to articulate key aspects of product lines and services.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the water treatment industry like industrial and municipal water, downstream oil and gas, sugars or nuclear energy.

  • Prior experience with CRM systems, including Zoho.

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:

$165,000 to $195,000

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range is based on full-time 40 hours per week. Ecolab in good faith anticipates it will pay within the posted range. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining the compensation for a potential new employee such as education, training, experience, work location, travel (if required), etc.
