Job Description

1888 Managment, LLC is looking for a Finance Director that will provide oversight of the financial activities and strategies of an organization. Here's an overview of the typical responsibilities and skills associated with this position:

What You Will Do

  • Financial Planning: Develop and execute financial plans, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports for internal stakeholders, board members, and regulatory authorities.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, such as market volatility, liquidity issues, and compliance risks.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of financial data to provide insights and recommendations for improving profitability and efficiency.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and liquidity, ensuring adequate funds are available for operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Investment Management: Evaluate investment opportunities and manage investment portfolios to optimize returns while minimizing risks.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including tax laws, GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with executives, board members, investors, and other stakeholders to communicate financial performance, forecasts, and strategic initiatives.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., Master, JD) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge MS Office applications, in particular PowerPoint and Excel
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax planning, accounting, or related field, with a proven track record of success in developing and implementing finance strategies for individuals and businesses.
