Tenneco is looking for an HR Supervisor for our Ignition Cambridge, Ohio plant. The HR Supervsior will lead highlevel analysis, oversight of day to day activities of HR team and provide support to plant leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Implement corporate/division policies and programs including the administration of national and local labor agreements, safety and health, recruiting, benefits, insurance and personnel policies. This position is responsible for the HR department budget and supervises exempt and non-exempt employees in the department. This position deals with sensitive and confidential information essential to the plant. During employment, this individual must use sound judgement, discretion, tact and diplomacy when dealing with employees and management. This employee should have an extensive knowledge of company personnel policies and procedures, including advance knowledge of the negotiation process and labor laws required to effect change in past practice.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Develop and lead team to interview employment candidates in compliance with federal, state and local law.

Administer all employee and labor relation matters including grievance procedures, workers' compensation, and wage and salary administration.

Administer divisional and corporate policies, which includes developing and maintaining an equitable and consistent labor relations and employee relations environment.

Provide leadership development for managers, employees and trainees.

Provide direction to Plant Manager and staff concerning company-union matters, benefits programs, hiring exempt and non-exempt personnel.

Maintain and establish programs to promote company image and employee welfare.

Act as plant liaison with state and local government officials, media relations and community affairs.

Minimum Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in human resource management that is ascertained from employment in a union environment.

Minimum Experience Requirements:

3 years' experience in an industrial environment administrating CBA's, and assisting with contract negotiations, employment practices, communications responsibility and developing teams.

Must have strong day-to-day coaching experience and interaction with Plant Manager.

Exposure to employment practices, policy administration, disciplinary process, grievance procedure, and FMLA administration.
