The Role: WORKSHOP TECHNICIANis responsible for assembling/disassembling and testing of industrial pumps according to a weekly plan. If you like working in a safe and friendly environment and have a mechanical aptitude this may be the place for you. Pumps range in size from a small 5 pound coffee can size all the way to a large engine block size.

  • Disassemble, clean, assemble and test mechanical and electromechanicalparts and modules to company's quality standards and production schedule. Able to follow standard operating procedures via computer instructions on how to disassemble and reassemble.
  • Ensure achievement of production targets on productivity, volume and efficiency.
  • Reduce rejects and ensure quick turnaround through effective liaison with other departments and stores.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of workshop targets on quality, productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensure that the appropriate standards of behavior, performance and safety are maintained within the workshop.
  • Ensure that the company's health and Safety policy is adhered to with the aim being to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure that the workshop is clean, safe and managed daily to maintain safety.
  • Interact with team leader and other departments where necessary to ensure the above duties are achieved.

What we expect of you:

  • Repair all products and accessories according to company's specifications. Observes established quality and safety standards. Understands the preventative maintenance and operation of production equipment.
  • Knowledgeable inmechanical equipment used in pumping or vacuum or abatement applications.
  • Able to disassemble and assemble mechanical equipment into components, identify damages/faults, assemble components and test equipment performance. Must be PC literate and be able to use windows driven software.
  • Minimum one year experience in repairing any type of mechanical systems. Must have a mechanical aptitude. Automotive repair experience not required.
